It's been like 2 years since i posted here. Goes to show how long I've graduated from Poly to the army i am at now.

Life

It's been a long long time. Like 3 months since i blogged.. Yeap. Anyway, exams are over so it's quite a huge load off my mind. And now it's IPP. Yeap, internship. They are lucky people who got what they wanted, a company that's related to their course of study and of course the unfortunate ones who got something stupid. (Yeap Bryce, i feel for u bro)

Time flies and it's like 2 weeks after IPP already. First week was fruitful, learnt about the basic operations of the department. Gave me some insight whether i should actually pursue this as a career in the future.. Guess it's kinda turn me off at this point. I always have the impression that office work is always dead and i prefer a job with more flexibility in it. After learning much of the stuff there, i was back to do basic printing, data entry and filing. It's pretty unreasonable to ask them to let me handle real customers cuz it's pretty important. Another 2 more weeks and i'm changing department.. :) Looking forward to it i guess.

As usual, surprises happen everytime.. Yeah Twins is engaged. Well let's wish her all the best :) I always believe that u will make the right choice regardless.

Celebrated my darling's birthday last week. Hope u liked the surprises. ^.^I know u've been so stressed out during work that u're feeling your best everyday. I can't say i'm exactly going through what u're going through now cuz work is different from yours. But regardless, if u need me, i'll be here. :)

As i grow up and think back, i wonder how i became how i am today. I'm easily hurt even though it doesn't look that way. I've seen so much bullshit happening around me.. doesn't help to be so observant sometimes.. I have a huge ego, built up over the years trying to be the best.. But i've learnt to control it through painful experiences. I don't have a personality capable of leading individuals, instead i have one that makes people wanna follow me. I don't know which is better. It doesn't matter to me anyway, i don't know how i build up this level of ignorance; Probably through out the years, i learnt how to filter what i want to hear and what i don't want to. Why? Afraid of getting hurt? Maybe.

The slow cooker in my house got burnt and melted cuz it was switched on from 9am to 10pm by my mummy accidentally. We were pretty lucky that it didn't exploded.. :)

My daddy came home damn pissed of course.. But through his nagging, he did say something meaningful..

He said, "Why do you think we need to learn from other people's mistakes?"

The answer is kinda obvious, but it got me thinking for awhile about what i've been doing for this past 5 years. I've always been on the sidelines observing people, the things people do, some of which i tell myself i won't want to do that ever.. Some of which are inspiring. I don't want to experience it through it, don't want to know how it feels.. Well at least to me, i feel it's that important to learn, not only from friends, but also from our parents to even the strangers on the streets.

I know what i want in life. It's simple, but hard to achieve. But i'm coming (:

Old lady Margaret was coughing all day lor.. Old liao must take care.. HAHA.. Poor girl.. Keep getting disturbed by us la.. She always abit siao.. Take down how much me and ah lun spend in Cheers everyday.. But surprisely it's like nearly 5 bucks for me daily.. Ouch to my wallet! Wai Min as usual, everyday drink free sample nia.. then eat food then burp.. Standard. Well, fun times at Cheers..

Waited for Michelle to finish her shift before having lunch with her.. And.. I ate instant noodles and Mac while waiting for her la.. Omg.. Then ate prata with her after that.. That's like a whopping $5.. (: After that went to town for some shopping with her, then went to Subway to eat cookies! I think the whole day i only eat lor.. But really hungry ah don't know why.. Chatted for an hour or so and we went to Ashton to eat with MS and gang.. I must say.. Cheap, Awesome and FULL. Totally worth my every cent, just that the queue damn long la..

We went for sit luge ride after that.. Woo.. Quite enjoyable but end so fast.. Wish it could last like 20 mins instead of 5. After which, Home sweet home! (:

Yesterday was a rather ok day (:

Hey yo,

I'm back.

I feel much better now. I think i'm watching too much Code Geass. It seems like i'm becoming like Zero. HAHA.. Gosh.. Thinking, and thinking eh. I realise sometimes reaching your objective isn't really enough.. cuz along the way, things change.. And u always want to give more than what you have to. I don't know why i'm even thinking about it. Come on, as of that day, ALL objectives are cleared. It was my intention from the beginning. Well, i must admit it's kinda mean.

The skies with infinite boundaries, fluffy white clouds flowing with the everlasting wind. Without forgeting, the beautiful sun shining over the towering mountains as if it's watching over us. Gotta move on now.

Halloween was a blast today. Carrying up the stage, setting up the sound system, and decorations was hell though. Going here and there, borrowing ladder.. And hope dom and pam enjoys it man! Haha! Sorry i cannot be there to see u guys. Bryce, Shalini, Pambrella and I went around scaring people with masks.. VERY stupid though.. ADVERTISEMENT for Halloween.

Tiring 2 days man..

Started of yesterday meeting Yu Jie at Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre to watch Death Race. Not bad.. Alot of gore and violence though.. Guess who we met at the macs there haha! Panther, Wei jie and gang. Long time no see.. Then i went to YJ's place to take some stuff and went off to Rein's place.. Long long ride from TP to Marine Parade.. I went on the bus at TP interchange and was watching TV mobile when the guy beside me started talking to me. (I don't know him btw.) Turns out that he was a motivational speaker and he tried to end his life once but wasn't successful.. He spoke to me for like 15 mins telling me his life story and even recite a poem to me, something he wrote b4 he tried to end his life. The poem's name is called "Against The Wind". Apparently, it's a miracle that he survived. Well he told me some stuff.. I wonder if God is trying to tell me something. I was like "Wtf" after this incident and started to think quite abit eh.. Haha! Yea.. Sometimes you just don't know what you're doing.

After a 30 min bus ride to Marine Parade, met Rein for dinner at Park Way. Discussed what we wanted in the video we are going to do. Had alot of inspiring ideas! Can't wait for the vid to be a hit round the world. We practise the sequence for like 3 hours and only manage to get down 26 seconds out of 4 mins of video. Damn hard.. Well it was already 2am at his place. We slept till 10.30 and carried on till around 7pm when i headed home. Tired la! Anyway, Team Shen Video Project 4 (: Anyway, enjoyed myself.. Had our fair share of laughs.. How Soul SG progressed this past 6 years!

And.. Liverpool won Man Utd 2-1.. What a day! Can't wait for Sentosa next week!

It was a great day yesterday.. Met Dom at 3pm at school to pass up some forms. Yea, had prata for lunch and yea, as good as new. (:

We asked JP if she wants dinner with us, and she agreed. So we headed down to Bugis cuz it wasn't that far from her work place and it's convenient for her to go there. I asked Twins whether she can make it but she got something on already. Yea.. Something on! Haha! Anyhoos, we ate at the duckrice store opposite MOS burger, and nice la! Lolx. Well, Dom suggested there cuz he had cravings for Duck Rice.

We had a really good chat as we eat, after which we headed down to J.CO at basement to continue our chat! We found a seat and hey, me and dom were reluctant to seat on one particular seat cuz there were STAINS on it. Not juice eh :P What were u thinking, Dom?! We chatted from work to friends to everything we can think of la.. It was really nice!

TODAY was totally crazy. Boss told me to reach there 15 mins early. So no choice lars, cab down! Cuz if not i'll be late cuz i thought it was gonna start at 12. Terrible start la, need to move all the machines to the respective positions, damn tiring sia. One person do everything, there is like 7 machines and a poster to put up.

Good thing was.. As soon as put the first machine to position, people started to come! Haha! The small kids are so cute la.. Can't believe i was like that last time.. Anyway, it was really hot. 12pm.. duh. A whole packet of tissue gone just shifting the machines out to the open. Yup.. U heard it. I'm pretty lucky that my friends come visit me la.. if not i no need go toilet, eat lunch and have a mini break or 2 here and there. Anyway, boss gave me a target of 200 rides la. That's er.. too much at this point of time. She say just to make me try my best.. >.< She came down with her husband to help me for about an hour or so, nice.. Had a good chat with the husband on the history of the company, how they started out doing this, and all the mechanics of the machines. Kinda interesting.. Being a major shareholder really sucks. But anyway, thanks!

At night, something interesting happen la, this family 2 parents with 5 kids and all young naughty boys. Yea.. They kept playing the rides la.. They like wasted nearly 20 dollars on it.. Over and over again. But then again, it's good for me xP and people at best denki take an average of 5 smoking breaks a day. See them quite often, had little chat with them. Some nice pretty girls. Winks eh. xD Anyway, i miss the target by 1 ride.. Lolx. She gave me a target of 120.. Yea.. i'm happy that it's over for today.. (:

After which, we had a wonderful yet complicated dinner of what? Fish la.. But seriously, we ate fish.

Yesterday was a good day! Yea, started out feeling abit lethargic. No choice la, so tired. Sigh.. I was gaming at home till twelve and went off to meet twins.. Didn't wanna be late. Well i wasn't (:

Had a good lunch with her, and walked around aimlessly for like half hour b4 she headed back to the atrium. Hope ya enjoyed the 1 hour. Smiles

After which i headed down to town to meet Elena.. Well, she asked me out cuz she needed help with maths. Her N levels are like this week so i can't say no, can i? Went to esplanade library to study. The security guard there was damn irritating. He asked us to shift places 2 times cuz it's not "appropriate" to sit there.

She asked me about like 40 questions of E maths, well i'm glad i'm able to answer like 90% of them. I hope she do well for her exams. Jia you!

After studying for like 3 hours, she asked me to accompany her for dinner with her parents. >.< And yea, we went to Sakae Sushi for our dinner. Hahaha! It was fun i guess. Her mother kept interrogating me. Her father is cool man. Very sociable! Thanks for the meal! After that, they went shopping and i didn't wanna bother them despite them insisting it's ok. I damn paiseh la please. Haha, but i really appreciate it. I headed home lor (: Good parents are hard to find these days, have to appreciate what i have now, really can't ask for more..

I met her when i was working for Giordano. Yes, she's pretty and i was kinda interested in making friends with her. So i approached her during work and boom! We're friends now. Nothing more. Gosh.

3) Bryce's reason is the best la seriously. LOL. "Jovian, u're from all-boys primary and secondary school, why are you not desperate for girls?" HAHAHA. No i am not desperate. Plus u're just stereotyping all guys. Not all guys are like that. It's all about self-control and discipline. You guys laugh. Well, go on then.

4) I got no reasons liao. I just wanna say i'm a serious person when it comes to relationships. HAHA a joke right? Laugh lor. Like i said, believe what you want.

Hey yo.

Went to the NSC to have treatment for my foot again. I guess i just need to back a few more times and that's it.

Finally a burden off my shoulders after passing up Marketing Management Project. If it's not for the project, i won't be going to school as the make-up lecture was a complete waste of my time to be honest. 40 mins.

After school, had dinner with JP and went around lookin for stuff to buy in a week or month time. GSS eh :D

And without fail every friday, the arcade!

Had some good Soul calibur training with Aheda, Vinci, Mich and CK. My reflex is definitely not as good as last time. Need to play more, if not how to improve? Sigh. Couldn't block some stuff consistently. And WCG is a few months away. Aiyo. Mich insists that i should start saving money to go Japan and train and not letting my talent go to waste. I mean if i had the money, i would have been at Super Battle Opera last August playing with the best players around the world, would be damn proud to represent Singapore. Soul Calibur 4 is coming out at the end of July, gotta start training!

Of course, even though gaming is important to me, yea, some people just don't understand me? Even my parents. I don't blame them, they are of different generation. Even my friends. They ask,"What's so nice about gaming?" Well, it's like a sport to me, i put in more effort in gaming than my studies. It's as important as basketball to me. I guess my bro will have the same views on this as me. My bro's awesome in CS and DoTA, won multiple competitions with his team. But my parents always nag at us, maybe for our own good sometimes. As for me, i also won multiple tourneys for Soul Cal over this few years. Haha, i wonder if our parents are proud of us sometimes? My bestie Raymus is in Japan right now training, well a little too bad for me as i am not in the financial position to go plus i have school.

Oh, and yea, people sometimes think that arcade are full of people that have no life, and are gangsters in someway or another. Well, sorry to say, you gotta to be there yourself to know it. No matter how much i explain, u guys won't believe me. I've been to an arcade since i was Primary One. The atmosphere you get there is something you won't get anywhere esle. When you challenge someone on the other side of the machine, it's like you have something to fight for, you wanna win or esle you have to put in another coin. The excitement, the adrenaline rush you get when you win the battle with style, or lose just because you hestitated for 1 second. This is something you don't get when you decide to get a console and play at home. Lose ah? Just press start again lor.

I must say i met people and wonderful friends from the gaming community. Some which you can learn from. I met really funny people, some weird ones here and there. Regardless, everyone got along well. Arguements do happen time and time again over style of play, and one person not liking another one. Sometimes it does get abit political. I remember i use to idolise one of the best players at that point of time. I told myself that i'm gonna be better than him one day. That was 4 years ago. And yea, i have indeed achieve that. But in the process i also learnt that people have to change, they have to adapt to changes in order to proceed to the next stage. I was in my own world about an year and a half ago. I thought that since i could beat everyone i was best. I entered each battle with over-confidence. Until one day, my friend Rein showed me the light. I still can remember his words clearly. "Jov, u're too cocky!"

That's what he said on the tournament day itself. Well, i lost one and manage to get back 2 to win the tournament. I knew i was stuck at my level of gameplay. So i decided to improve further. Learning more stuff and at the same time, i always reminded myself to not be so cocky, and be humble. I know myself, i'm a person with great ego. I always think i'm right. Well things gotta change (: yes indeed i'm a great player, but so what? Respect is earned. All along, the greatest enemy has always been myself.

Rein has been a great friend. So is Aheda, you sure can learn some shit from this dude. Not to mention the community who nv fail to help me when i needed help. I organised tournaments for the community with the help of Mich and CK. Yea, they have all been successful i must say. The arcade supported me, they let me use their areas to host the tourney. Greatly appreciate it. Recently, my friend Tetra (He's the best D.O.A. player here, i consider him the best in the world though) got sacked from CGS for doing something which i won't mention here. I felt sad for him as people like him truly puts in effort and he's an example to follow for the many young gamers who wanna be the best one day. Never give up, train hard!

I remember, 2year ago. I had a fan boy. LOL. Yea, his nick was HKW. He posted in the forums saying that i was an awesome Sophitia(A character in SC) player and wanted to really learn from me. I was kinda shocked though as this was the first time this happened. But i'm proud of him now eh.. He's slowly learning. And yea, he's no gangster or anything. In fact, he's from a darn good school (:

So what i'm tryin to say literally is that: I went through alot and learnt alot and like it or not, it definitely impacted my life in a positive manner. I dont know why i'm even saying it here but i just felt like saying it. Some people think that i'm a nice person, some people think that i'm a bastard. But whatever it is, I'm still Jovian and hell yea, i will shine on for everyone! So keep smiling!

Things went smoothly today. We needed tuition on business finance and YP was kind enough to do so! Thanks alot eh! (:

We ended up at AMK library and yea, no space. So we headed to the macs near the library and yea, we found some seats there. Goodgood.

Tuition was very awesome. YP should seriously be a teacher next time.. No kidding.

And i got a twin now HAHA. (: Smiles Twin

I just saw the picture of my Sec sch on my bro's lappy. It's like so beautiful right now. U guys should go see one day. I'll bring ya!

It's been a long day.

Went to NSC to treat my foot again. Glad that it's healing fast. A few more times and i guess i do not need to visit that place again. Like finally after 6 months..

Then spend like 6 hours doing my boring marketing report..

Head off to the arcade to chill out and have some games.. It was fun though. Met up with my friends and had dinner.. Good food yummy yummy yes i want! (:

I'm an honest person, i bet no one believes me (: i mean seriously, sigh..

Travelling

Wow i travelled like almost the whole Singapore island today. From central to north to west to east. Lolx, i must say it's kinda tiring eh..

Went to Kallang Leisure Mall/Park just now, alot of new shops are opened but i must say it's still quite a boring place eh. I still remembered Alvin took the toilet signs off there. Lolx..

Finally tests for this week is over. SCM test was quite easy though. ICT sucks, i got 13/25. >.<

Anyway, today was rather boring. Went to school to take test then go home.

I'm still kinda exhausted from yesterday's marathon of games. Getting scratched on the hand, and elbowed in the face. Sigh.. And the hearts all over the world tonight (:

I love this Game.
